Mt Hood Meadows Road Conditions

Mt Hood Meadows sits at about 5,366 feet on the southeast flank of the mountain, reached from Portland by US 26 through Government Camp and then OR 35, or from the Gorge by OR 35 down from Hood River. The live Government Camp status at the top of this page covers the US 26 half of the drive; OR 35 over Bennett Pass is the segment to watch on the Hood River side.

Meadows is the biggest ski area on Mt Hood and its traffic stacks onto the same US 26 lanes as Bend bound through traffic. On powder mornings the drive, not the skiing, is the schedule risk. The corridor cameras below cover the US 26 approach in driving order.
