Ashland & I-5 Road Conditions

Ashland sits at 1,975 feet in the Rogue Valley foothills, 14 miles north of Siskiyou Summit and a full 2,300 feet below it. That gap is the story of this page: Ashland can sit under a clear sky while the summit above it is under a conditional closure, and the only honest way to know is to look at the summit itself.

The cameras here run from Ashland up the I-5 climb toward the summit. When ODOT holds traffic for a conditional closure, the queue forms on this stretch and the holding happens in and around Ashland, which is why the town gets its own conditions page.
